Far Cry: New Dawn (PS4)
A colourful reimagining of the Far Cry 5 world with enough uniqueness to make it worth playing. The weak story lets it down but New Dawn provides a world full of fun.
Awesome Pea (PS4)
A retro green monochromatic visual style is the main defining feature of this simple 2D platformer. Tight controls and challenging levels make it good to play but it doesn't bring anything special to the table.
Pode (PS4)
A charming but short indie game which grows on you as you grow its world. Perfect for couch co-op with a friend but entirely enjoyable solo as well.
Anthem (PS4)
Despite initial worries based on the demo we were pleasantly surprised with Anthem. Technical glitches and crashes were common but the fun gameplay loop kept us going back. The future looks bright for this loot shooter.
Resident Evil 2 (PS4)
For a game that is 21 years old it holds up very well. Possibly the best remaster I've ever played.
Crackdown 3 (Xbox One)
This is a game that either should have been made a generation ago or not at all. Slow, easy, and lacking any heart or feeling.
