Surviving in harsh and unforgiving environments is the theme of this episode as Matt & Lucas review Far Cry New Dawn and Anthem, and Lucas shares his thoughts so far on Metro Exodus! Matt also reviewed indie games Awesome Pea and Pode along the way. We hope you enjoy the show! Read more…

Far Cry: New Dawn (PS4)
A colourful reimagining of the Far Cry 5 world with enough uniqueness to make it worth playing. The weak story lets it down but New Dawn provides a world full of fun.
Awesome Pea (PS4)
A retro green monochromatic visual style is the main defining feature of this simple 2D platformer. Tight controls and challenging levels make it good to play but it doesn't bring anything special to the table.

Pode (PS4)
A charming but short indie game which grows on you as you grow its world. Perfect for couch co-op with a friend but entirely enjoyable solo as well.
Anthem (PS4)
Despite initial worries based on the demo we were pleasantly surprised with Anthem. Technical glitches and crashes were common but the fun gameplay loop kept us going back. The future looks bright for this loot shooter.

Lucas
The Podfather/Convo Controller
Super salesman by day, Batdad and Gamersutra by night. As a self-confessed technology pacifist, he prefers to sit on the console-war fence and play games on his PC.
Matt
PlayStation Fanboy/Motormouth
Electrician by trade and yet also highly skilled at finding time to game around work and family commitments. A PlayStation fanboy with a platinum count and obvious podcast bias to prove it. Thinks DC is clearly superior to Marvel. Has been known to rant.
