Vodafone Announce Aussie Vita Data Pricing

Vodafone Australia have finally announced the details for their data plans for the PlayStation Vita today with a range of plans available.

A number of $0 upfront 12-month contract plans for the Vita have been announced starting at $55 a month for 1.5Gb of data up to $95 a month for 18Gb. These include the Vita as well so you wouldn’t need to buy one through a store, instead you pay it off over the 12 month contract included in the price. I will list all the plans below.

Vodafone are also running a deal where if you purchase the Vita through their online store on one of these plans you will receive a bonus 4Gb memory stick until the 31st of March. Although those are only retailing at about $28 it’s still not bad for free. You can do the math yourself on the plans but I have just ordered one on the $65 plan which is effectively $29 a month for 6Gb of data and $36 a month for 12 months for the Vita. That works out to be about $432 for the 3G model Vita over all, which is about $12 more than they will retail for at launch, however I think it’s a good deal for anyone who can’t afford to purchase a Vita outright.

Let us know what you think about these deals and whether or not you are planning on picking up a Vita.

$55 per month – 1.5gb of Data
$65 per month – 6gb of Data
$75 per month – 12gb of Data
$85 per month – 14gb of Data
$95 per month – 18gb of Data
