Tin Man Games have released their sixth book in the Game Book Adventures series “The Wizard from Tarnath Tor”, and to celebrate the Tin Man team are offering a special on all the books for a limited time.

Normally the Game Books, which now include Game Centre support, retail at US$4.99. However with the sixth book being released our friends at Tin Man Games are offering all six books at US$2.99, a steal!

If you haven’t been lucky enough to play a Game Book, Neil Rennison, Creative Director for Tin Man Games describes the experience in the sixth instalment as “The Wizard from Tarnath Tor, written by Al Sander – winner of the 2008 Windhammer Prize for Short Gamebook Fiction – takes the reader on an interactive reading adventure. With different choices to make on every page, items to find and creatures to fight with realistic simulated dice, the story narrative changes depending on the outcome of the selected actions.”

Neil goes on to describes the story,  “The sixth gamebook finds the reader travelling to the legendary City of Tarnath Tor, which was destroyed two hundred years ago. Now just a place set within stories and myths, it has been lost to the outside world. A chance encounter with one who claims to be a time traveller sends the reader on a mission, leading them into the great ruins and encountering the dark forces that have made it their home. Who is this wizard from Tarnath Tor and can he be trusted?”

An update to each of the existing books includes a new News section which has been added to offer regular reads of the books instant access to latest announcements which Neil touched on in our podcast interview on episode 13. Neil continues : “We?ve built up quite a following over the last two years and felt we needed to keep fans abreast of all the latest developments. We have exciting plans for the next two years too, with the involvement of new writers such as Fighting Fantasy’s Jonathan Green, who has penned the next Orlandes gamebook, as well as venturing into new genres such as sciencefiction and supernatural romance.” So its great to see the guys are hard at work and have a clear plan for the technology and its application in the future.

We are looking forward to what the sixth book has to offer and have got a copy to give away. Leave us a comment below to describe this picture lifted from the book and we will pick a winner soon.

Best of luck!
