Fruit Ninja: a CES Shoutout and #1 on Windows Phone 7

The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) was held in Las Vegas over the weekend, and Brisbane’s own Halfbrick was given an honourable mention at Microsoft’s keynote press conference. During their keynote, which was live streamed across the internet to millions, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer mentioned Halfbrick’s enormously successful title Fruit Ninja a number of times. CES 2011 – Sony Press Conference

The annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES) has rolled into Las Vegas once again and even though the show floor hasn’t opened yet, things are already happening. Sony held a press conference to announce some facts & figures, as well as some new products and services, including a 3D visor headset, 3D cameras and camcorders, Google TV, a new line of Bravia TVs and more. Melbourne game studio “Firemint” acquires “Infinite Interactive”

Games studio Firemint today announced that it has acquired fellow Australian studio, Infinite Interactive. The move further boosts Firemint’s strength in designing and developing original games like fi.slotzo.com, while providing the Infinite Interactive team with a channel for independent publishing.
