Happy New Decade everyone! Jeez it seems like we haven’t had a post for you guys since a decade ago! Okay now that we’ve got the terrible Dad jokes out of the way it’s time to look back at the past ten years in gaming, take stock, remember the good times fondly, and prepare for a new era in gaming. This episode of the DBG podcast is part 1 of our four part Decade in Review series. Four parts? Yeah well it’s hard to compress ten years of amazing video games into a single podcast episode so we decided to indulge ourselves.

On part 1 of our mini-series Matt & Lucas discuss their favourite moments from 2010-2012 as well as having a bit of a chat about some interesting highlights or stories from the past ten years. They discuss the rise of mobile gaming, the life of the PlayStation Vita, the roller-coaster of success, bankruptcy, and then resurrection that was Telltale Games. We hope you enjoy listening as much as we enjoyed making this episode and we are looking forward to sharing part 2 with you soon!

Lucas
The Podfather/Convo Controller
Super salesman by day, Batdad and Gamersutra by night. As a self-confessed technology pacifist, he prefers to sit on the console-war fence and play games on his PC.
Matt
PlayStation Fanboy/Motormouth
Electrician by trade and yet also highly skilled at finding time to game around work and family commitments. A PlayStation fanboy with a platinum count and obvious podcast bias to prove it. Thinks DC is clearly superior to Marvel. Has been known to rant.
