2013 Gaming News So Far

We have been a bit inactive here at Drop Bear Gaming so far in 2013 due to a number of unforeseen things. Excessive work at our day jobs, illness, my laptop committing seppuku and the other distractions of life have meant we haven’t managed to get many posts up here. We are working to rectify this but to make up for not really covering anything this year I’ve decided to give a run down on what big news has been happening in the gaming world in no particular order.

Weird right? But that’s the initial thought I had after 10 minutes with Starhawk. Truth be told, it’s a little different from that, but Starhawk is definitely one of the few Sci-fi Westerns out there that’s worth a look.

Resistance: Burning Skies

Like many others, I have been waiting with bated breath to see what a first person shooter on the Vita would be like. The unit obviously has the potential to be great and with the sales not going too well, perhaps a FPS is exactly what the system needs to jump start its popularity. Resistance: Burning Skies is the first of the genre on the Vita and being a first-party title you would expect it to come out guns blazing and showing off exactly what we can expect. Sadly that isn’t quite what has happened.

SCE Australia Announce 2 New Move Games

Sony Computer Entertainment Australia have today announced two new titles for the PS Move, Sports Champions 2 and DanceStar Party Hits. Both titles are slated for release later this year, and both are follow ups to other successful Move titles.
