2013 Gaming News So Far

We have been a bit inactive here at Drop Bear Gaming so far in 2013 due to a number of unforeseen things. Excessive work at our day jobs, illness, my laptop committing seppuku and the other distractions of life have meant we haven’t managed to get many posts up here. We are working to rectify this but to make up for not really covering anything this year I’ve decided to give a run down on what big news has been happening in the gaming world in no particular order.

With life becoming more fast-paced, we’re always looking for ways to have fun within a quicker and more easily accessible form, so does this mean that AAA games may one day be a thing of the past?

An R18+ Resolution Is Here!

There has finally been a resolution to the R18+ classification issue today and the federal government have said that they will be introducing the new classification before the end of the year.

Apple Cut App Prices In Aus by Up To 25%

There has been a great bit of news today with the announcement that Apple are lowering prices in the Australian App Store to bring it in line with the US.

EB Games Expo 2011 – First Exhibitor Announcement

EB Games have just released an initial list of the publishers and exhibitors that will be at the expo. They will all be there across both days for all three sessions of the show.

So EB Games have just made their announcement which Lucas posted about yesterday and one of his predictions was right.

Australian Price Point and Release Date Confirmed for Nintendo 3DS

Nintendo Australia have presented a press conference this evening in Sydney to announce the official price point and release date of the new 3DS handheld. As expected the release date is set at March 31st, the unit will be available in either blue or black, and the initial price point will be $349.95.
